Our current approaches fall down in many ways – we think and act in siloes, we focus on a single KPI rather than a broad direction of travel, we want frameworks that give us certainty rather than leaning into the questions before us, and silver bullet solutions when none exist.

The challenges we face today – whether it’s supply chain volatility, reducing our carbon footprint or eliminating poverty – have complex roots. To solve them, we need radical collaboration, co-creation and collective action across a system. To lead this change, we need to think systemically, draw on expertise from multiple disciplines and include a wide variety of perspectives. We have to learn as fast as we can through rapid experimentation rather than launching one-shot efforts.
